How do I organize a shoot with railcar?

Head over to the “Contact” form on our website. Give us as much information about yourself and your project, and we’ll respond within 24 hours on how to move forward.

What kind of pricing should I expect?

That’s difficult to answer without a detailed scope of what you’re looking to do. We like to give an accurate quote that’s reasonable for us and the client once we understand all of what’s required. All quotes are for the full project, and not an hourly rate.

I’ve sent you a message. Now what?

We’ll get back to you within the next 24 hours with a confirmation on what it is you’re looking for, and a quote based on the work required. However, sometimes additional clarification is needed before locking in a final quote. If it’s easier, we’re happy to chat on the phone upon request.

Do you always shoot together?

We prefer to work together, as it’s best to have a second pair of creative eyes behind the camera. However, sometimes projects require only video or photos. In those cases, only one of us is needed on site. One perk of the Railcar tandem experience is the behind-the-scenes content we capture during the shoot. It often adds a very alluring perspective, and does well on social media.

Where do you usually shoot?

We have an evolving list of scouted Vancouver locations that we choose from which best represent the clients needs. Sometimes we rent out a space for a day of shooting which we invite clients to drop in for an hour or two. Really, it all depends on the best fit for the project.

What file formats can I expect?

All photos are delivered in high quality jpegs, which are compatible with all picture-sharing platforms. Videos are formatted in vertical, portrait, Instagram widescreen, and 4K widescreen, depending on the project. ex. If you’re only intending to post on Instagram, 4K widescreen isn’t necessary, whereas if you were wanting to post on Youtube it would be. Regardless, we can fit the needs of any platform you intend to post on.
